Paralympians are responsible for winning 7 times more Gold medals in a 1/3 of the time

January 03, 2023

Photographic portrait of GB Paralympic Athletes both today’s champions and extraordinary veterans. A Legacy Project in recognition of highest achieving and astonishing Paralympic Champions, GB has ever produced.

This project sets out to make photographic portraits of the many GB Paralympians who are still alive today - whether they are veterans or current day champions, their roles contributing to society are hugely important, at so many different levels, yet many feel forgotten, even though they are ranked 7th in the world of all time.

Clare Newton Artist

May 14, 2016

British female inventor of the year actively pushing boundaries. Over the last few years Clare has already achieved a number of community inspired projects; from an outdoor display in City of London Corporation’s West Ham Park, Tate & Lyle’s factory, Trinity Buoy Wharf and ExCel’s Victoria Square - to overcoming the unthinkable and make the World's Longest photograph (1 Kilometre x 2m) with 5,000 people taking part.

Hackney artist Clare, is as someone who primarily lives through her artistic endeavours, believing that art can touch people's hearts, in so many extraordinary ways.

This journey to find our Paralympic heroes, has been an incredible one in discovering how ingenius and adventurous these athletes are.  But they all have a common motive.. to get out there and live life to the full.
